I just watched Dark Skies with my wife. she's into "scary" movies. Needless to say she has me watch a bunch of lame crap. This one was decent though. Worth the $1.27 at redbox for sure.
I saw Man of Steel not too long ago, and honestly I still don't know how I feel about it. I think I might just have to watch it again when it comes out. There was a lot about the artistic quality I really liked, and there were some awesome scenes and action sequences in it, but not too many. My overall thought was that they bounced around between past and present wayyy too much. Either they edited too much out, or they didn't edit enough of it, I don't know, but the whole thing just felt fragmented.
Like I said though, artistically it was pretty awesome, and there are a couple fight scenes in there that are pretty sick to watch. I don't know if I'd really call it an action movie though.
Agreed nerd, it was also a much darker version of superman, all the fuss was that in original gen zod was thrown over the ice wall, in this one they show him breaking dat fools neck, hehe, cant wait til league of justice comes out!! Hulk ftw!!!!!!!
Yeah that scene was rad. Kind of pissed the words "kneel before Zod" never appear in the movie.....
If you think about it though... take all of the various scenes throughout and put them in order somewhat, it makes for an incredible movie. Should have just let Nolan direct it.
Anybody seen the movie the Conjuring? It got crazy good reviews on rottentomatoes, and I love me some really good scary movies. The GF doesn't like them too much so i may have to go to the theaters loner style and have my shit scared out of me before she gets back.
This movie was from the same director that made Insidious (great flick by the way). This scary movie that is actually rated R, so i'm willing to give it a watch. Has anyone seen it? .02 cents?
