Slow morning on the forums, so might as well talk about something.....

So anyone else pumped as i am for next season to see Joffery's wedding? Thoughts on the season finale? It was tough to top last weeks episode, and i thought they would have saved Joffery's wedding for the season finale. Something to look fwd to next season i guess.

On a similar note, how much do you guys hate Daenerys. All she does in the show is say "I'm the Mother of Dragons", "Where are my Dragons". The story line with her is the most boring drawn out story. Fall on something sharp already

Havent read the books, so im just following via the TV show. Easy on the spoilers fellas.

Hodor is such a BOSS!

Haven't watched any GoT... I've been cable-less for almost 5 years now. Just do the streaming thing through my trusty Roku (gonna pick up the Roku3 this summer).

Been marathoning Justified, which I realy like. ...

Gonna find GoT somewhere, library or something. Would like to see it.

Wing,

GoT is so sweet. The first four episodes in the 1st season are slow, but it's drawn out for Character building, then the series takes off in a hurry. The story is incredible and there are so many plot twists. Definitely a good show to marathon. Your timing is perfect too because the 3rd season just ended. If you're willing to hold out, i'd suggest marathon-ing it in about 4 months.

Could probably time it just right so when you're done the marathon, the 4th season comes out. You do however, run the risk of accidentally catching a spoiler.

Love it. Like knees said the first season is pretty confusing since they introduce so many characters, but near the end it comes together and from there you follow it pretty easily for the most part.

So you were waiting for the wedding this season knees? Out of all of the shit that could have happened, the wedding was the one you thought of? lol.

Re: Dany... are you crazy man? She is so awesome. Honestly I'm waiting to see where she goes more than anyone. Not sure I follow your thoughts, to me she has a lot of depth and there is a lot going on with what she is doing. Main points to me:

1. She got the shit-end of the stick starting out. Bro was a douchebag, sold to some tribal dick without much say in the matter, but made the best of it.

2. Realized she, not her douche brother was the one who really deserved to claim her father's throne. Decided to step it up, but really didn't stand much chance.

3. Needed an army, got two different pieces of counsel / advice... first that slave armies are loyal, do what they are told.. and well will die for whatever they are told for. Second, that armies win wars because of their belief / love / etc in the people they fight for, not because they are told to.

4. Listens to both sides, and starts to build an army by freeing slaves ( which also plays into the first season with her treatment etc ) . Those slaves in turn love her for it, and will fight / die for her.

The way that comes together is pretty awesome to me. As far as her attitude now... I actually think thats pretty cool. She has become confident and doesn't care to tell people to suck it. Sometimes it can be a little much but I think some of it has to do with previous advice shes been given on being strong, confident, a leader etc.

Of course it doesn't hurt I have a total crush on Emilia Clarke lol, even if she does look better as a brunette.

If anyone is a dick its Joffery, that kid is a twisted fuck. King or whatever, kid would have had the smackdown laid on him acting like that if I was his parent haha. The way Tywin handles him is awesome IMO. He insults him, belittles him, but does it in a way thats just cool, and puts him in his place.

Yes it does. I've read all the books. Season 4 will have plenty of moments. I thought something specific was going to happen for the finale, but I guess they are saving it for next season. In reply to fumbles

So to the people who haven't started watching the series and were planning on watching it at a later time. I guess i should have thrown in a disclaimer notifying you guys that there will be few spoilers will be mentioned in here from time to time....my bad

@Nerd, Have you read the books? I haven't...but through talks with all my friends who have, i have a good grasp of what happens at the end of the books with Dany.

I do admit that the story with her is actually good. She's the total underdog story, and i guess what happens at the end of season 3 is a feel good moment George RR Martin decided to throw in.

For myself, the pace of the story is much faster in the 7 kingdoms that whenever they cut to Danny's story, i just find it so slow and boring. For example, when she goes to Qarth, what happens? In retrospect, absolutely nothing. They spent about 6 shows with her wandering around being manipulated in Qarth, while ultimately in the end, all that really happens is her and her people looting gold.

While in the 7 kingdoms, bastards and prostitues are being off'ed at an astounding rate, and the plot just gets deeper and deeper.

However, in the next season the story should actually get very interesting with her in Yunkia (sp).

Oh, and Danny is smoking hot....her sex appeal was never questioned. However, Margaery Tyrell is where it's at.....just sayin

Man I love this series. I marathoned the first two seasons earlier this year and patiently waited each week this season.

I couldn't bear to wait another 9 months for the show so I purchased the books on Amazon / Kindle and just got to the part where Catelyn captures Tyrion at the Inn. I'm happily surprised how closely the books match the show at this point.

I like all the casting and storylines.

Yes, after reading the books, I was very pleased to see how well they stuck to the storylines. And the casting superb! Peter Dinklage is the perfect Tyrion. In reply to receptionist

knees.. no haven't read them. You're right about the stories. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that there are multiple stories going on, versus just hers. She is kind of the one on her own storyline in a way. They tie together here and there but for the most part they've been separate so far.

But.....if you want to know what happens at ending of all the books, i'm sure shadowthrone will be more than happy to fill you in. Emoticon
