Creating this in response to Indrid on the other thread... didn't wanna hijack it Emoticon

Info for those wanting to stop smoking and vape instead.

Batteries: The ego line is a good place to start. Compatible with most tanks etc. Personally I like the variable voltage ones ( you can change the voltage at which the atomizers burn ) because liquids can taste differently at different voltages. Here's a link to the manuf. site... you can buy them a number of places.

Tanks: I've tried quite a few, but by far my favorite is the ProTank. Pretty much any tank made by Kanger is awesome. Link to misc tanks here from manuf.

Liquids: This ones tough man. When I first changed over I liked flavors that had more of a tobacco taste, but now that my taste buds work again I think they are gross. If you can find a local place that sells the stuff, see if you can try it out. The liquids you find in convenience stores etc are usually pretty nasty but if theres a head shop or vapor store near you, you may have better luck.

I'm still trying new ones randomly just to change it up, but right now the two I'm using most are Lightning and Surprise Grape both from MtBaker. The first tastes like altoids to me with a little bit of citrus. The second tastes exactly like grape Kool-Aid lol.

My wife uses Patti's Wicked Mint ( not the chocolate one ) from Totally Wicked. Most of our smoking friends who've tried it have really liked it, so that might be a good one to try. Its a strong mint going in, on exhale it tastes like black pepper. I like it as well, I just like to change things up Emoticon

Yeah man, I just ordered about $50 worth of liquid from MtBaker yesterday.... so about a carton of cigs money-wise. The difference is that liquid will probably last me until late october sometime Emoticon

Been kind of a fan of MtBaker lately. Wife hasn't liked a ton of their liquids, but I've enjoyed quite a few. If you order more than $15 worth, they always add a 15ml sample bottle ( if you ask nicely you can usually choose what the sample is ), and usually 2-3 days tops for shipping, from WA to VA cross country. What I ordered yesterday should be here tomorrow. You can also call both of them ( MtBaker and Totally Wicked ) if you wanted to ask some questions. Both are very helpful with choosing liquids/batteries etc. I would definitely give the Pattis Wicked Mint a try, since I have yet to find a smoker that didn't like it. Being kind of 'new', some of the tobacco based flavors might be the way to go for now, but its up to you. Once your taste buds start working again its amazing how shitty those can start tasting lol.

Here's a shot of one of mine if you want an idea of the size etc

I've also ordered batteries, chargers and tanks from myvaporstore.com and can vouch for them. Haven't tried their liquids though.

When picking liquid look for the blend of PG/VG. VG is vegetable glycerine, PG is propylene glycol... both of which are found in pretty much everything you eat anyway. Blends that have higher PG have more of a throat hit, which was important to me when switching. Feeling like you're smoking is a big deal ( at least it was to me ). When my smoking friends have tried mine, they end up choking because they expect it to be all "light" lol. Those kanger tanks can produce some huge clouds of vapor.

I smoked camel lights, and the medium (about 14-18mg ) strength nicotine worked well. If you smoked cowboy killers or something stronger, you might want to go a little bit higher. Whats pretty cool is that most places make ranges from high to even 0 nicotine... so you can actually move yourself down over time to 0 if you wanted to use it to help quit. I'm down to the 6 now. I'd like to try and move down, but work-related stress and all makes that kinda hard haha.

If you have any other questions etc just let me know. We didn't really know anyone who had a lot of experience with it when we switched over, so we had to learn a lot on our own or by asking questions when ordering. It feels good to not smoke the cigs anymore, so I'm always happy to help anyone else who wants to try haha. The $$ savings is just kind of a bonus. Other bonuses.... being able to sit at my desk at the office and smoke when I want/need to, rather than having to stop what I'm doing and go outside Emoticon

N3rd, are you using the eVic? that seems to be the variable voltage battery.edit: I just noticed one called eTwist, and from your pic that is the one you have right?

The pro tank seems a little large for someone like me. I am constantly on the run with my job. Have you had success with any smaller tanks? How many fills do you get with that tank before replacing the guts?

So from mt. Baker I got your surprise grape, it is good. I do like it a little better when I mix it with a slightly sweeter grape I get from a local store.
I also got a vanilla cupcake that is good. Watermelon is so-so. If they send you green tea for a trial bottle throw it out. The green tea smelled good, I put it in my protank to try it.... Sooooooooo gross. I have recently placed another order. This time I am gonna try the lightning, hawk, berry cream, and get razzled. I'll let ya know what I think. If you are interested in trying something new I suggest: Johnson Creek smoke juice, flavor Solstice. It rocks.

Lightning is one of my favs by far... let it steep for 3-4 days for better results, though its good as soon as you get it. The mint comes out more after a week or so.

I've been using that and the extreme ice primarily for the last month or so. Both awesome flavors. I've also ordered some of the ice flavoring ( just the flavor, not the mixed juice ) and adding it to some of the fruitier ones like the grape. Its a nice combo Emoticon

I've quit many many times, 2 weeks ago I decided not to quit, but try ecigs / vape instead.

I had tried a few different disposable brands over the past year and of all, blu was the best disposable ecig experience.

The ecigs are the right option for me. They look like a cig are the same size, come in a similiar "pack", and suprisingly have a very similiar "pull" like a cig as well. I went with the simple starter kit which came with a variety pack of their top flavors. It has been a daily suprise that these blu ecigs have held up to my pack a day of Marabolo 100's addiction. I really like the fact that they are very much alike in look & feel that I can experience the same satisifaction grabing my pack of ecigs and headed down for a smoke with my cig smoking co-workers.

Just past the 2nd week I picked up some refills, both vanilla, but with two different levels of nicotine. I kept one close to the standard level and the other just below. It is still not my intention to quit, but this has given me a solid starting point without introducting to much change all at once.

If you are not ready to make the leap to vape with a tank, you might want to pick up one of these starter kits.

Shadow, that is exactly what I quit smoking with. However I still had craving after craving using Blu. The biggest frustration for me was actually the constant battery charging. Since I switched to my current set up I haven't had one cig craving. I am using a kangertech mini protank and joytech's Ego C twist batteries. I get better hits and more variety of flavor. If you are considering quitting you should get this kind of a set up.

This. We started with V2 when we first started vaping... worked pretty well but had the same issues. They didn't work as well for the wife at all. She never fully changed over to vaping until we moved to the tank setup. In reply to sccooke

So I have tired a few new (to me) mt baker flavors. Lightning which I like, to me it kind of tastes like a citrus cough drop. Get razzled which is raspberry and creamy. Brandy (sent to me for free), a little strong in flavor but good when I mix it with maple or apple cider that I got locally. The one like like the best from this order is called Hawk sauce, this stuff is the shizzle! I like it straight and mixed with a little bit of everything else I have added ( get razzled, lightning, and grape.) I highly recommend the hawk sauce! No hawks were harmed in the making of this e-liquid.
